In response to the question about Trattoria Limone:

Yeah they closed. It was a loss of a great place. I tried a few times to work with the owner to do more advertising and get some exposure to more then just the Cal Heights area. All he ever told me was that he had no money for advertising. No money for advertising means no money to keep your doors open.

Ricardo,
I had my first meal at Los Compadres about a month ago. It is really good. I wanted to have a few more things on the menu before I wrote about it. You will see a review in the next month or so. Thanks for your comment, and feel free to let us know what you think about other places that we have reviewed.

Your Fellow Long Beach Eater,

What is the fixation with Enrique's? Sure, t's fine, it's authentic --- but LOS COMPADRES at 3229 E. Anaheim is way better. There is no reason to drive to Downey, for God's sake. Also: both Cocorenos and Super Mex serve low-class hangover-cure food (which has its place), not high quality food like either Enrique's or Los Compadres.

Yes they did, it is a real shame. The food was excellent. I hear that a coffee shop is going into that location now.
